our story
Nesting Godmother was born from the joy of giving.
This journey started with Crystal Middlebrook gifting family and friends her time and expertise in preparing their homes for the arrival of their newborn as a baby shower gift. While organizing their nurseries, she identified spaces in the home that held more significance in the day-to-day functions of life with a newborn. Crystal knew by organizing these often overlooked areas, she could ensure that the parents would return home with their new baby confident for their road ahead.
As time passed, friends and family returned to her for help in sorting and decluttering their babies’ outgrown clothing and toys. Crystal soon realized that the process of nesting is a continuous cycle of parenthood. As a result, SHE curated practical and customizable home organization systems that help families navigate the ebbs and flow of parenthood. She gave birth to the NESTING GODMOTHER.

A single mother of three boys, she’s honed her unique skillset in home organization and interior decorating through the nesting stages of her household. through Nesting Godmother she provides signature organizing and home decorating solutions that helps clients’ move from nest to rest.
Crystal is a native of Inkster, MI, a graduate of Florida A&M University, and a proud member of the National Association of Black Professional Organizers (NABPO). She currently resides in Atlanta, GA with her three sons.
